Little did I know when I photographed the British Revolution performing at the United Kingdom pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase on Friday, March 5, 2020, it would be for the last time.

What I have always enjoyed about the entertainment at Walt Disney World and specifically around the World Showcase pavilions is how close you can get. Surrounding the British Revolution stage is a low shrub maze reminiscent of the maze from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland animated feature. I worked my way around until I could get a few photos of the performers. After the show, the band came down and took photos with any of the guests. When they were done, I asked if I could have one of the band. They enthusiastically obliged.

Now, you know me, after I got a wide angle photo, I zoomed in for this closer image which I like much better.
When Disney closed due to the Covid-19 virus on March 15, 2020, it was also the last day ever for the British Revolution. Though, I did not know it at the time, it would be the last I would enjoy their music, talent and fun. Good luck to them in their future endeavors.

I will miss the live performers. I know they have to cut costs, but the Disney Magic is really the Disney personnel. Something gets lost when you lose the live performers.
What?? They were so popular. I wouldn’t be surprised if they replaced it with some Disney sing-along show, like what they did with the France Pavilion.
I think it really sucks that WDW is doing away with live music. It’s the one thing lacking in the entire resort. I guess they need to make room to add the new Mary Poppins attraction so in my book, a ride is much better than a band, but still the music was always fun. I really miss the Beatle impersonators they had before this band. Farewell to live music.
