Dining in Epcot has never been sparse, but a popular option is set to close its doors as part of the ongoing transformation of the park. I’m referring, of course, to Electric Umbrella, which, according to its official website, has been listed as “scheduled to close this winter”.
Fortunately, a temporary dining establishment has been set up near Test Track, providing hungry guests with all the hamburgers and chicken fingers they can eat! Phew, I thought I’d have to settle for world class international dining for a second!
The interim dining location will be Taste Track, located just across from Cool Wash, near the Motion Pavilion. Taste Track, which opens periodically throughout the year, has a similar menu to the Electric Umbrella, serving up theme park staples like hamburgers, chicken tenders, and other things your children will willingly consume. Much like the temporary Starbucks location, seating will be sparse and uncovered, so many guests will likely seek seating at the nearby Cool Wash.
Taste Track has already been listed on the Epcot Time Guide, which suggests the location for anyone looking for food similar to that they would find at Electric Umbrella.
However, we have no indication as to when the change over will take place, as Disney is still listing hours for Electric Umbrella well into March. Since Taste Track is already listed on the Time Guide, we expect the new location will begin operating soon!
We’ll keep you updated as we learn more! Until then, be sure to get your burgers while you still can!

Bummed about Electric Umbrella. One of the few restaurants left where you can get drink refills.
I think you might possibly be the only person that will miss this place. lol
