We have known for a while that a new Beauty and the Beast-inspired Lounge was coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
And today Disney has shared NEW and exciting details, including the name of the lounge! It will be known as Enchanted Rose! Sounds stinkin’ magical, don’t ya think?
The new Enchanted Rose Lounge is replacing what once was Mizner’s Lounge. When the re-imagined lounge opens this fall, guests will be able to experience “the magic and romance” of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast film. And as Disney has previously shared, the lounge will “feature four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast.”
There will be a lounge which will have a chandelier inspired by Belle’s famous gown. There will also be a formal library which will feature “classical baroque designs and French furnishing.”
You’ll also be able to dine in a garden room inspired by the enchanted forest and an outdoor patio that “evokes the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.” Sounds like something straight out of a fairytale… oh wait, it is!
Disney has shared a few NEW details on what we can expect to see on the menu when dining at Enchanted Rose. There are going to be sharable options like Artisanal Cheeses, Sturgeon Caviar, and Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders. A few more options will be the Truffle Fries and House-made Flatbread Pizzas.
The location will serve a few seafood options as well. These will include an Espelette Pepper-Spiced Shrimp, Octopus a la Plancha, and Crab and Gnocchetti Gratin.
And if you’re looking to get your drink on at the Enchanted Rose, then look no further than the lounge’s large selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
A few featured cocktails will include the Island Rose which is a rose vodka with lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. There will also be the Lavender Fog which is made with dry gin, crème de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream. If you’re more of a tequila lover, like myself, then you may want to try the Garden Daisy, which will be made with tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber.
Enchanted Rose will also have an “extensive collection of wine and Champagne by the glass.”
According to Disney, the non-alcoholic options will include a “Garden Cocktail” (non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda) as well as the B&B (fresh-brewed iced tea, lemon, blueberry, and basil) and the Rosemary Cooler (Odwalla lemonade, vanilla, and rosemary).”
Yes please save us adults one place please. Its the best “brown liquor and cigar” bar in Disneyworld (the only one?!) Hoping they would change it to be more like Meridien on the Fantasy! Very adult! Fingers crossed they haven’t ruined it.
I’m sort of a ditto on the comments. We didn’t love Mizners per se, we loved having a nice drink and listening to the orchestra. If they still had the orchestra playing right outside on the balcony I’d give the new place a shot, but I don’t have confidence.
Totally agree with Rob and have the same concerns as RK…what about the orchestra??
Will this impact the orchestra space at the GF?
No, no, no. As a long time Disney and Grand Floridian fan this is absurd. Children have 90% + of all the spaces at WDW, is it too much to ask to just leave this one for the adults. It’s another classic example of Disney fixing what isn’t broken. Mizner’s was a haven, a sanctuary, and true to the original spirit of the GF, which is slowly being eroded. The next time I’m there in a few weeks, I’ll have to restrain myself and not chew anyone out too vigorously! Mizner’s Forever!
