A popular Disney World restaurant is closing soon!
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will close for refurbishment on May 11th!
Yachtsman Steakhouse will close on May 11th, 2026, and will reopen on an unspecified date in August. The closure is for a “refresh,” per Disney, so there will likely be some differences upon reopening.
Yachtsman Steakhouse is a New England-themed dining experience providing high-quality, grain-fed beef steaks. Popular menu items include Prime New York Strip Steak, Prime Rib Sliders, and Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake. You can even watch the chefs prepare your food in the open kitchen.
The other restaurants at Yacht Club will remain open during the closure. Ale & Compass Restaurant offers upscale New England comfort food and classic seafood dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The coastal-inspired restaurant is designed after a cozy lighthouse. The neighboring Ale & Compass Lounge offers beers, wines, and high-end liquors with savory snacks.
You can also head to The Market at Ale & Compass for a quick-service spot. They serve Mickey Waffles, meats, and coffee for breakfast, with a variety of to-go sandwiches, salads, and desserts for lunch and dinner. We love their Little Mermaid Cookie Pie!
