REVIEW: The SECRET Menu You Didn’t Know You Needed in Disney World

Disney World dining experiences are great as is, but they get even more exciting if you know about secret menus (shh…don’t tell)!

Yak and Yeti Restaurant

Now, not every Disney World restaurant has a secret menu, but some do. One of them is Yak and Yeti at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s true! The dining spot has a rotating seasonal menu that keeps things fresh, but before the seasonal menus launch, they sometimes offer sneak peeks while chefs learn to make the new recipes. We actually recently tried three of the secret menu items at Yak & Yeti!

The first thing we tried off the secret menu was the Bulgogi Kimchi Fries for $15. It was bulgogi beef, cucumber kimchi, and seasoned fries. These fries were AMAZING.

Bulgogi Kimchi Fries

The fries are loaded with toppings, including perfectly tender cooked bulgogi beef with Yum Yum sauce, green onions, kimchi, cabbage — all of it on top of delicious seasoned fries.

This is spicy, so if you’re not a fan of spicy, it could catch you by surprise. It was so fun picking out bites loaded with different toppings to create unique tastes. This is a huge dish and definitely easy to share between two or three people.

So many unique tastes!

Next, we grabbed the Thai Chili Duck Wings for $18. They were sweet and spicy duck wings with Thai chili kimchi ranch. These are a delightfully sticky mess. When you bite into them, they have the perfect amount of crunch.

They are perfectly fried and basted with tangy spicy Thai chili sauce. They left our mouths burning in a very pleasant way. Be sure to have your favorite libation nearby to cool down the mild flames that come with this dish.

These were so good!

Overall, we found these to be a delicious, perfect companion to a light, fruity drink.  If you aren’t sure you’re a fan of duck, don’t be put off by these. They are very similar to chicken wings. The difference with these is that they are a little bit tougher wing, but not in an unpleasant way. Then you can tell everyone you’ve had duck wings, which is a pretty cool brag.

To drink, we grabbed the Pangboche off the secret menu for $18. This drink is made with Tito’s vodka, Kyoto, white, miso, and brown sugar, simple syrup, and espresso. This is a perfectly balanced drink. It has a great amount of espresso and is a great pick-me-up in the middle of a theme park day.

Although this is a very well-made drink, and if you love espresso martinis, this will suit you. It is not different tasting from other well-made espresso martinis on the property, so it’s not necessarily a must-do from the secret menu.

It’s not a must-grab, but it’s good!

We can’t wait to try more secret menu items at Yak & Yeti! They also have a spicy garlic edamame on the secret menu, but it wasn’t available when we were there. These secret menu items can only be ordered at the bar inside the Yak & Yeti restaurant.
