The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk is home to some pretty incredible desserts and even more beautiful atmosphere, but it’s EXPENSIVE. We’re the first to admit that, and there are plenty of other delicious desserts on property for less…but the quality here is pretty unmatched.

Any time we hear about a new treat over at this spot, we know we’ve gotta check it out, because with how expensive they are, we want to ensure you’re not going to regret spending your money on the treat! If you’re a chocolate lover, though, this new German chocolate cake may be what your dreams are made of.
A slice of the Inside Out Chocolate German Cake will cost you $22 at The Cake Bake Shop. This is three layers of rich French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with silky Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache and brown sugar cream packed with sliced almonds, toasted pecans, and shredded coconut, then finished with Cake Bake Shop’s signature homemade Callebaut Belgian chocolate fudge, elegant swirls, and toasted pecans.

The actual cake here is everything you want out of cake — it’s moist, light, fluffy, and has a fantastically balanced chocolate flavor that’s not too rich. The German chocolate fudge on the outside is so delicious, we could have eaten it with a spoon! It was so smooth and was right on the cusp of melting in your mouth in the best way.

The Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache and brown sugar cream in between the layers was gorgeous as well, and we liked that we could feel the texture of the coconut, but it wasn’t an overpowering flavor. We know a lot of people enjoy having a different texture with their cake, and if that’s you, we have a feeling you’ll really enjoy this.

This is absolutely shareable, and we think it’s a great choice if you’re celebrating with a few people and just want something to go around. 2-3 people could easily enjoy this (potentially even 4), so if you want to all split the cost, then you’re all only paying a few dollars each.
