Yo ho! Yo ho! Who’s ready to sail aboard the Disney Destiny? That would be us. You see, thanks to Disney Cruise Line, we’re getting a sneak peek at the Disney Destiny ahead of its first sail date on November 20th.

That includes a first look at the Cask and Cannon lounge on the ship, a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar. So come with us as we take a full tour of this lounge.
The Cask and Cannon is a relaxed lounge with an “extensive” variety of spirits and brews, with “some served straight from the barrel in true pirate style.” The bar itself is filled with trinkets, treasures, and tons of Pirates of the Caribbean Easter eggs. Here’s a look inside with photos released by Disney — we can’t wait to see it ourselves!

The idea is that you’re drinking inside a pirate ship, so the interior is decked out in wooden planks, and the bar front is made up of stacked treasure chests as a nod to the treasure rooms and Captain’s Quarters from the film series. You’ll also find mismatched furniture, antiques, treasure maps, fishing nets, barrel stools, rum bottles, and more signs that here there be pirates. There may even be some pilfered pirates booty amongst the trinkets.

The portholes even have intricate “charred” carvings as a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride’s burning village scene. You’ll also spot lanterns inspired by those you might see in the Disneyland Paris version of the ride, and even a set of 13 drawers filled with treasure maps, each labeled with different scenes representing the global parks and attractions, including The Ghostly Grotto, Port Royale, Talking Skull Bay, Blue Bayou, and Treasure Cove.

This lounge is a MUST for Pirates of the Caribbean fans, and you’ll want to linger around for a while just to see all the nods to the ride. We’re covering all things Disney Destiny this week, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
