Disney’s just confirmed new CHARACTERS will be onboard it’s newest ship!

Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Destiny, is just weeks away from welcoming its first visitors onboard as it takes its inaugural sailings. While we’ve enjoyed getting updates from Disney Cruise Line about the ship as well as a few sneak peeks inside, it’s not lost on us that in just a few weeks, we’ll finally be able to set foot inside. In one of its final updates, Disney Cruise Line is teasing some insight into a few new characters we’ll expect to see onboard.
It’s hard to believe, but the first voyages of the Disney Destiny are just a month away! In just a few short weeks, the first sailings on board Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship will set sail and begin their journey traversing the opposing forces of Villains and Heroes.

As you can imagine, as an onboard guest of the Disney Destiny, you might find yourself caught in the midst of these dynamics while onboard in various venues and experiences across the ship, which could put you face-to-face with some of the ship’s newest characters you’ll encounter during your sailing.

While visiting the Grand Hall, which will be inspired by the vibrant colors found within Marvel’s Black Panther films, you’ll encounter all-new entertainment offerings, including “Sounds of Wakanda.” This unique musical celebration will feature a group of traveling percussionists whose rousing rhythms are inspired by the stories, legends, and culture you’d find within Wakanda.

But experiences aren’t all that will be new! A few new characters will be introduced on board the Disney Destiny ship. You might encounter two traveling storytellers, Zayah and Gamble, whose enchanted trunks react to the powerful energy and magic of classic Disney villains. Zayah is a fortune teller who will make predictions and weave tales with the help of a mysterious book, while Gamble is known to conjure adventures with his collection of mystifying potions and elixirs.

You’ll have ample opportunity to spot the duo through various storytelling experiences throughout each voyage, like “With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show” in the Saga entertainment lounge. This sketch comedy show is curated exclusively for adults and will invite you on an interactive journey through some of the most iconic moments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, all while using comically low-budget props, homemade sound effects, and sight gags to help bring their retelling of these stories to life.

With the Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage just weeks away, it’s hard to contain our excitement to see everything that will be offered on this ship and how it will differ from Disney Cruise Line’s other ships currently sailing.
We’ll be bringing you along as we step onboard the ship’s very first sailings soon! Be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars for updates in real time.
