“Disney I Love You, but Stop Trying to Make ‘Wish’ Happen” – Disney Fans Have THOUGHTS About the New Nighttime Parade

The parade Disney fans have been anticipating for a long time is finally here at the Magic Kingdom.

The Blue Fairy!

Last night, there was a soft opening of Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away, Magic Kingdom’s brand-new nighttime parade. We got a chance to watch it light up the night sky, and recorded everything! We shared it on our social media, and you all have some thoughts — good and bad.

The Disney Starlight will make its way through Magic Kingdom TWO times a night. One will be at 9 PM and the other at 11 PM. A showing of the Happily Ever After fireworks will be in between the two parades at 10 PM. The parade is full of bright, colorful lights, music, and your favorite Disney characters. Well, and some characters that some of you seem to be done with…

This parade is great!

“Disney I love you, but stop trying to make Wish happen,” said Instagram user @disney_ydnarb. There is a Wish-themed float in the parade, but it looks like this Disney fan is tired of seeing Disney’s animated movie that flopped…and they weren’t the only one…

Hi Asha!

“Finally get a parade and a good movie is removed for Encanto and Wish” said Instagram user @thomasaitken. We will say, we liked both floats — they were gorgeous!

The Madrigal Float is beautiful!

@rcbuckets said, “The floats are gorgeous. I’d like to see more performers and puppets in between the floats, but it still looks great.” This Disney fan makes a point about having a little more performance in the show. You can never go wrong with more!

So many Princes and Princesses!

Fans who have a trip planned can’t wait to see it! @saa4queen commented, “3 weeks. Cannot wait to experience the nighttime parade with my new popcorn bucket.”

Elsa!

It looks like feelings are all over the place for the new show. @fastpass_shopping was a little disappointed, stating, “Why does this look so…not good? Everything looks so small and cheap. I’m sure people are thrilled to finally have a parade back, but this looks bad.”

Look at the Peter Pan Float!

With a fan base seemingly divided on it, @ronnieb85_ had to take a stand in the comments. “They could copy and paste anyone’s favorite parade from any time period and people would complain. The parade is great.”

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away

With some fans not liking the new parade, others adore it! @aninhavillani felt a touch of nostalgia, “It brings me back into the days of my childhood at Disney.” We also saw @matttroncone say, “This is definitely one of the best parades Disney has ever created!”

Near the castle is a great choice!

The parade is finally here, and clearly, fans are on two different sides when it comes to how they feel about it. Overall, we’ve seen a lot of positivity, and our reporters who covered it in the parks absolutely adored it. One thing is for sure: it’s just nice to have more nighttime parade entertainment for guests to enjoy. For more Disney news, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars.

  1. I’ve got to agree some the sentiments about Wish. I just don’t understand why they keep pushing this movie. No one saw it & the few that did didn’t live it. Encanto makes sense, it’s not my favorite but lots of people love it & the music is good. A Hercules float would’ve been better than Wish
