Fantastic news for Disney World hotel guests planning to stay at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort later this year!

For months and months now, this resort has been undergoing an extensive refurbishment to refresh the rooms. While this didn’t often cause many disturbances for guests staying there, it’s still preferred by most guests when your hotel is free of any and all refurbishment projects. If you’re staying here later this year, Disney has just officially confirmed that all room refurbs are COMPLETE at Port Orleans French Quarter!
Previously, Disney completed a large majority of the room refurbishments at the end of 2024, but this now marks the FULL completion of all the rooms around the resort!

Each room has colorful fabrics and patterns inspired by the New Orleans’ charming architecture to bring the lively spirit the city to life, just like the vibrant exteriors of each building. Don’t forget to look for those nods to Mardi Gras celebrations, including artwork including the iconic purple, gold, and green beads!

You’ll also find more portraits of the characters you know and love from The Princess and The Frog, like Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis, and Charlotte La Bouff.

Don’t miss the intricate detailing on the pattern above the bed and on the bathroom door — if you look super closely, you’ll find hidden details like Tiana’s sparkling tiara, drums, and trumpets! The bathrooms also now have more counter space and additional storage.

We’re loving these new rooms, and are so glad this massive project is finally complete! Looking for more recent Disney World hotel news? Check out our posts below!
