Disney World made some HUGE hotel upgrades in 2024.

New rooms, refurbished food courts, and major overhauls were done at various hotels around Disney World. Some hotels didn’t see any renovations in the past year but will see them in 2025 and 2026. So now that many refurbishments have been completed by the end of 2024, it’s time to look at which hotel was the “Most Improved” and hand out its recognition!
We’re looking at three categories for 2024 hotels that were “Most Improved” at Disney World. Let’s see who takes home the trophy as Best Overall, Best Hotel Dining Change, and Best New Rooms!
Best Overall
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The trophy for Best Overall improvement goes to… The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort!

These new cabins did tone down the “cabin” theme with a less wooded interior, but overall this was a major hotel overhaul that needs to be acknowledged. The inside is subtle and accessible. They have cute Disney details and are very homey for your home away from home.

Taking a look at the old cabins, we think you’ll agree that this was an indeed an improvement!

Best Hotel Dining Change
World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
Two hotels underwent refurbishments on their food courts in 2024, but only one was fully completed by the time 2025 rolled around, and we gotta hand it to the hotel — it looks AMAZING. So the Best Hotel Dining Change for 2024 goes to… World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies!

Can you say “lights, camera, action!”? Because this food court is ready for its premiere! The details are so much fun and really makes you feel like you’re at the movies. We would say this was a BIG improvement.

Best New Rooms
Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter
Last but certainly not least, we’re handing out the award for the Best New Rooms. This award goes to… Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter!

We got a chance to stay in the newly refurbished rooms, and boy do they look nice! They really make you feel like you’ve been transported to the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Disney did not miss a single detail when recreating these gorgeous rooms. They’re comfortable and beautiful. We were very impressed, so it only makes sense that this hotel receive this award!

These Disney World hotel upgrades turned out great! We’re happy to hand out the recognition for the three “Most Improved” hotels. Hopefully, you enjoy these changes as much as we do.
