Hey Disney fam, we’ve got some bittersweet news coming out of Hollywood Studios, and it involves an unsung hero of park visits – the Muppets Courtyard bathrooms.

Yes, it’s true: these iconic restrooms will be closing to make way for the brand-new Monsters, Inc. Land, and we’re feeling all the feelings. They’ve been a prime example of that Disney magic, blending clever theming with practical necessities. So, before we officially bid adieu to this bathroom break MVP, let’s take a moment to appreciate everything that made it special.
A Hidden Gem of Hollywood Studios
Tucked into a quieter corner of the park, right by Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, the Muppets Courtyard bathrooms have been a staple of convenience and character. Whether you were recovering from a laughing fit courtesy of Statler and Waldorf or grabbing a slice of pizza that you’ll remember more for its puns than its flavor, these restrooms were always there when you needed them.

And they weren’t just any bathrooms. These were Muppet bathrooms. From quirky signage to little nods to the chaos and creativity of the Muppet universe, the details made every visit more fun than it had any right to be. It’s not every day you see Gonzo’s Royal Flush advertisements or subtle Easter eggs that made you laugh even while you were washing your hands.

But now, as the area prepares for a major makeover, these restrooms are set to receive a monstrous re-theming – literally.
Monsters, Inc. Land: What’s in Store?
Disney has announced that the Muppets Courtyard is being transformed into Monsters, Inc. Land, a reimagining that promises to bring the magic of Monstropolis to Hollywood Studios. While details are still under wraps, we can expect immersive theming, lots of doors, and some fun surprises inspired by Mike, Sulley, and the gang.

And yes, this includes the bathrooms. While we’re sure Disney Imagineers will knock it out of the park, (after all, who wouldn’t love a bathroom styled like the Laugh Floor?) it’s hard not to feel nostalgic for what’s being left behind.

But progress marches on, and we can only hope the new restrooms will be just as creative and memorable. Maybe we’ll even see a nod to Boo’s door or a Sulley-sized stall? Or will it look like the locker room from the film?? Only time will tell.
Why We’ll Miss These Bathrooms
Now, we absolutely realize that it probably sounds silly for us to wax poetic about a restroom, but if you’ve ever spent a day trekking through a Disney World park, you know how important a good bathroom can be. And the Muppets Courtyard bathrooms weren’t just convenient – they were cool, quiet, and filled with personality.

They were a welcome oasis on a hot Florida day, offering a moment of air-conditioned bliss while you admired the Imagineering touches. And let’s be honest: bathrooms with character are rare gems, even in a place as magical as Disney World.

So here’s to you, Muppets Courtyard bathrooms. You’ve served us well over the years, and while we’re excited to see what Monsters, Inc. Land brings, we’ll always remember your quirky charm and Muppet-y magic. You weren’t just a bathroom; you were an experience.

Until then, let’s pour one out (or maybe just raise a Mickey pretzel) for the Muppets Courtyard bathrooms. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten.
