The Disney Treasure is getting ready for its maiden voyage!

The Disney Treasure will have lots of adventures for you and your family as you cruise on one of its sailings. The maiden voyage is set for December 21st, 2024, from Port Canaveral, Florida. There will be lots to do and experience on board the ship, but there will also be lots of food to enjoy! One restaurant, 1923, has a special meaning for Disney fans, and we have a clue of what you can expect from it when you finally get to dine there.
The Disney Treasure will have three table-service restaurants, two lounges, and several quick-service spots for dining. The ship will likely include Disney’s Rotational Dining service. This allows guests to dine at THREE unique restaurants for dinner each evening while their own dedicated service team “rotates” with them to each restaurant, getting to know each traveling group and their preferences.

One of those restaurants is 1923, which is named for the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios. It pays homage to the early animation work of Walt, Roy, and the studio animators. This restaurant is also on the Disney Wish, so we have a good idea of what it will look like and what the dining experience will be like when it opens on the Treasure.

Inside the restaurant, you’ll likely find lots of artwork and props from classic and new Disney movies. Overall, it celebrates the Walt Disney Company, animation, and its California heritage through glamour and Disney whimsy.

The restaurant has multiple dining rooms on the Wish, so we expect to see that on the Treasure as well. Overall, the feel of the restaurant is very Old Hollywood glamour, and it’s a fairly sophisticated restaurant.

The menu will have “fresh Californian cuisine,” likely with a blend of European, Asian, and South American inspirations. The Wish’s 1923 menu includes appetizers such as Porcini Spiced Ahi Tuna and Fennel, Bartlett Pear, and Tatsoi Salad, Burrata Mozzarella Cheese & Prosciutto di Parma, and Kingswell Duck Confit Pastilla. There is a variety of soups to choose from as well as entrees like Tortiglioni Pasta, Italian Flat Parsley and Rosemary-Crusted Rack of Lamb, and a Seared Verlasso Salmon Filet.

You won’t want to miss this restaurant if you enjoy Disney animation, want an upscale dining experience on your cruise, and are ready to enjoy a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with dinner.

We have previously enjoyed our meals at 1923 on the Disney Wish, so we’re excited for this upscale restaurant to join the Disney Treasure! You can head over to the Disney Cruise Line website to book your cruise aboard the new ship.
