PHOTOS: The NEW Tree Lighting Ceremony Debuts on Disney’s Very Merrytime Cruises

Merry Christmas, mateys!

We’re live from the Disney Dream, bringing you all the details about Disney Cruise Line’s Very Merrytime Cruises. As part of its 2023 holiday sailings, Disney added some new experiences — like a Holiday Deck Show, a Tree Lighting Ceremony, and new seasonal outfits for our favorite characters. Today, we’re bringing you along for the new Tree Lighting Ceremony — come check it out!

On the first night of all Very Merrytime cruises, you’ll be invited to join Mickey, Minnie, and some more friends for the lighting of the tree. First, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy arrive in their holiday best, leading a sing-a-long to classic holiday tunes.

After the song and dance, confetti falls from the ceiling as you get ready for the tree lighting.

After counting down from ten, the tree lights up, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrive, in awe of the tree.
