September and October in Disney World are very special times for a few reasons, but one of those reasons is that Hispanic Heritage Month takes place between September 15th and October 15th.

With Hispanic Heritage Month comes all sorts of celebrations, but one of our favorite ways to celebrate is by trying out all the FOOD! Some of our favorite foods are of Hispanic heritage and it’s extra exciting when we can get them right in Disney World.
Today, we’re taking you along with us to try ALL of the treats you can grab this month at Disney World to celebrate Hispanic heritage. ¡Vámonos!
Let’s start at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where we’re visiting Pizzafari to check out the Encanto Cupcake for $6.29. It’s made with Vanilla cake, guava and dulce de leche filling, vanilla frosting, white chocolate Encanto decoration, milk chocolate leaves, and crispy pearls. This cupcake is also available at Restaurantosaurus. This snack is for Encanto fans. The cake might be a little basic, but it’s moist.
The fillings are really what level it up, though. The dulce de leche had a taste almost like peanut butter, while the guava offered a fruity balance. However, there is WAY too much icing on this cupcake, which makes it much sweeter than it should have been. It also weighs down the rest of the cupcake, which can cause it to fall apart.

The Coco Skeleton Bone Pastry for $6.99 is a bone-shaped pastry filled with dulce de leche Bavarian cream coated with white and dark chocolate and a Coco image. We got it from Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This is one of the most uniquely designed and creative snacks we’ve tried.

We are also happy to report that it was tasty — the Dulce de Leche cream had a thick, rich caramel flavor. That sweetness worked well with the dark chocolate. With that being said, though, the eclair part of the pastry wasn’t as soft or as puffed as we expected.

Then we headed over to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factor at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter to try the Passion Fruit Tres Leches with a guava Mickey for $5.29. You’ll also find this treat at food courts at Disney’s All-Star, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans — Riverside Resorts, as well as at Epic Eats at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now, onto the cake itself. The cake didn’t really give us much passion fruit flavor, although it did taste mildly tropical. The guava Mickey, though, is so much fun.

The Mickey was done with a gel-like icing, but we didn’t think the flavor of it overpowered the dessert. As we said, the other flavors are mild, and some folks might appreciate that, but we wanted more passion fruit. It’s still a decadent dessert, especially with how moist and creamy the cake is.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can pick up the Mango-Chamoy Funnel Cake at Epic Eats. It’s a DOLE Whip mango with chamoy-mango purée and chili-lime seasoning served on a funnel cake for $8.49. We’re just going to tell you that the flavor combo of the mango and chamoy works really well, although it’s mostly that lovely mango you’re getting with each bite.

The chili lime seasoning is subtle, so if you’re worried about a bit of heat, don’t. The funnel cake was perfectly crispy on the inside and soft and sweet on the inside. This is a pretty big snack, so save room for this dessert.

In Disney Springs, you’ll want to check out the Sweet Mojito Taco for $8. This is a sweet taco filled with lime mousse, mint pâte de fruit, and meringue on a graham cracker sable. For starters, this is a very photogenic snack. It sort of reminded us of a key lime pie with a soft, spongy meringue on top and a tart and very lime-forward pâte de fruit. The texture was dense and chewy.

The lime mousse was decadent but not overpowering. The crumbly graham cracker sable was similar to shortbread. We also liked the addition of mint leaves on top, which added JUST a touch of freshness.

At Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can grab the Coco Sweet Bread. This new treat is a sweet dough filled with cinnamon-spiced custard topped with Coco décor.

It’s available from September 15th through October 15th and will cost you $5.29. We LOVED the cinnamon-sliced custard, but beware that if you get a bite of it on its own, it is VERY cinnamon-forward, so it’s almost spicy. But it was paired perfectly with the sweet and soft bread. If you’re a cinnamon fan, this is definitely for you!

Over at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, you can try the new Coconut Guava Tart — but there’s a catch. This treat is only available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 15th through October 15th! It’s an oversized tart filled with coconut, guava, and a macaroon top.

And there you have it! We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney food news, so make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.
