NEWS: Release Date DELAYED for Disney's NEW Haunted Mansion Movie

A NEW Haunted Mansion movie is in the works at Disney, but you will have to wait just a little bit longer to see it than previously expected.

We’ve already shared a look at some of the iconic characters that have been cast in the Haunted Mansion movie — including Madame Leota and the Hatbox Ghost. And we previously shared a release date for the film, but that has since been changed.

Variety has shared some information about updated release dates for some of Disney’s upcoming films. For some films, a general release timeline has now transformed into a more set release date.

But for others, there was a release date CHANGE — that’s where the Haunted Mansion movie comes in.

Previously, the Haunted Mansion movie was set to open on March 10th, 2023. That release date has now been pushed to August 11th, 2023. So it seems like the movie has moved from a spring release to a summer debut.

The film is set to feature Madame Leota as portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis, and the Hatbox Ghost as portrayed by Jared Leto. The cast is also supposed to include Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, and Tiffany Haddish.
