In case you missed it, one of Disney’s spookiest rides is being turned into a movie! (Again.)
We’re less than a year away from the release of Haunted Mansion, with a star-studded cast featuring a story centered on a haunted mansion in New Orleans. Now a HUGE role was possibly just cast and we have to talk about it!
We already knew several of the Haunted Mansion cast members, including Rosario Dawson as a doctor, Chase Dillon as her 9-year-old child, Owen Wilson as a priest, LaKeith Stanfield as a widowed scientist/paranormal expert, and Tiffany Haddish as a French Quarter psychic. Danny DeVito will also star as a grumpy historian.
And now on Instagram, Jamie Lee Curtis hinted at playing the role Madame Leota, our favorite disembodied psychic medium. 👀 She captioned this rumor only with the crystal ball emoji so we’ll have to wait for official confirmation!
So far, what we know is that the story of Haunted Mansion will focus on Rosario Dawson’s doctor character moving into an affordable (red flag!) mansion in New Orleans with her 9-year-old, and it turns out to be haunted (surprise!). The talented cast will help them along the way!
Haunted Mansion is scheduled to premiere on March 10th, 2023 and we can’t WAIT. If you’re feeling impatient about the wait, don’t worry — there are PLENTY of new Disney and Marvel films coming out before March. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release on November 11th, 2022 with Strange World to be released on November 23rd, 2022.
