Although it’s been over two years since Disneyland’s historic closure and a little over a year since the resort’s reopening, there are still some services that have only now just started to return.
Recently, Disneyland’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reopened (along with the one in Disney World). Now, a popular service that offers a very unique souvenir has officially reopened!
We’re talking about Disneyland’s Silhouette Studio, which can be found on Main Street, U.S.A. The studio reopened as of today, August 26th.
The studio, which opened its doors on July 18th, 1955 (just ONE DAY after Disneyland’s opening), offers a service where an artist can cut a guest’s profile (or silhouette) BY HAND with a small pair of scissors just by looking at that guest.
That guest then gets a unique souvenir that costs around $12. You can get it framed for an additional charge. There’s also a Silhouette Cart in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
The Silhouette Studio in Disneyland will be open every day from noon until 8PM through September 1st. After that, the studio will open at 8AM to park close on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and from noon to 8PM on Monday through Thursday.
