NEWS: Reopening DATE Announced For Mickey & Minnie Meet-and-Greet in Disney's Animal Kingdom!

While many character meet-and-greets have fully returned to Disney World, a few have not.

Adventurers Outpost in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has historically been the spot to meet Mickey and Minnie in their safari costumes, but it has been closed since 2020. Disney announced not long ago that the meet-and-greet would return “soon,” and now we have an official date!

Today Adventurers Outpost was added to the list of qualifying Genie+ Lightning Lanes, with a reopening date of June 19th, 2022! That means that not only can you most likely meet your favorite Disney pals on that date, but you can also opt to use a Lightning Lane if you choose to purchase Genie+.

If you don’t want to purchase Genie+, don’t worry! You should most likely also be able to wait in the standby line.

Recently, Disney changed character meet-and-greets from socially distanced meetings to traditional interactions, where guests can hug characters and get autographs. Not every character from the past has returned yet, but Adventurers Outpost will be a welcome re-addition to Animal Kingdom!

Note that on Disney’s website, there are still no open times listed for June 19th for Adventurers Outpost. It’s possible that Disney could change the date so we’ll be keeping an eye on this for any updates!
