Star Wars and Marvel series have become a BIG part of the Disney+ streaming service.

When the platform launched in 2019, Disney promised original content expanding on the existing Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universes and they have certainly delivered. To date, Disney has released 7 original series based on the franchises and more are coming soon! Now, we all probably have favorites, but which Disney+ series have been the MOST popular? Let’s find out!
While there’s been a lot of original Disney content released on Disney+, the Star Wars and Marvel live-action series have reigned supreme according to an analysis done by The Hollywood Reporter — here’s how they reportedly rank!
6. Hawkeye
Coming in at number 6 is one of the more recent Marvel releases, Hawkeye. This series followed the Avenger as he unveiled New York’s Kingpin in a fun, holiday-themed series. It was streamed by viewers for 3.46 billion minutes.

This show is at the bottom of this list but still ranks higher than any non-Marvel or Star Wars shows, and the animated series.
5. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Next on the list is 2021’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series was streamed for 4.15 billion minutes and follows Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they navigate what it means to be Captain America.

After the series finale, it was announced that a fourth Captain America movie was on the way, so we’re getting more of these characters soon!
4. The Book of Boba Fett
After Boba Fett was reintroduced in the second season of The Mandalorian, it was announced that the iconic Star Wars character would get his own series on Disney+! The Book of Boba Fett was streamed for 4.4 billion minutes, coming in fourth overall for the streaming service.

With the success of this show and the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, maybe we’ll get to revisit more iconic Star Wars characters soon!
3. WandaVision
WandaVision was a big surprise for many Marvel fans with the two characters finally getting their moment to shine in the first of Marvel’s Disney+ series. The show was streamed for 4.8 billion minutes.

But, one other Marvel series ended up topping the viewership.
2. Loki
Summer 2021’s Loki revisited one of the MCU’s most beloved villains, if we even want to call him a villain anymore, Loki! This show had the highest average watch time with around 872M minutes streamed per episode.

This made it Marvel’s most-streamed series with 5.23 billion minutes watched total.
1. The Mandalorian
With the amount of Baby Yoda merchandise you can find just about anywhere, it might come as no surprise to fans that the most streamed show on Disney+ is The Mandalorian. The two seasons of the show ensure that it blows the competition out of the water, but even the first season would rank above the rest with 5.42 billion minutes streamed.

This was only augmented by the second season, which was streamed for 8.38 billion minutes. In fact, 58% of The Mandalorian‘s 2021 streaming came from the 8-week season two run.

Of course, these series might have some competition soon, as Marvel’s Moon Knight just debuted its first episode on Disney+ and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel will be coming soon! We’ll continue to keep an eye out for all of the latest Disney+ updates, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
