On the busiest days, guests can be turned away from the Disney World parks. It is only a temporary condition, but does occasionally happen.

We’re in Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary!
It’s been an exciting day in the park and we’ve been giving you the latest live updates! However, if you are at Disney World and want to visit the Magic Kingdom today, you’re currently out of luck.
Park Pass Reservations are still being used in Disney World, which requires guests to reserve a pass for whichever park they want to visit first. Although guests can park hop at 2PM, this means that Disney World parks CAN hit capacity.

Today, Magic Kingdom has officially hit capacity! We’ve been watching the crowds the park all day, and it’s been really busy!

In fact, when we called the phone number that informs guests about the current status of park capacity, we were told that the Park Hopper option was no longer available for Magic Kingdom! We also received a pop-up notification on My Disney Experience letting us know that Park Hopping was currently not available at Magic Kingdom.

We personally haven’t seen the park reach capacity since Disney World reopened in the summer of 2020.

Guests are now being encouraged to visit one of the other three parks: EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Capacity has continued to increase over time (which is why Park Passes have become available again and again), however Disney has not announced what the current capacity level is for Disney World.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on capacity at each Disney World park and we’ll update this post if Magic Kingdom opens back up! Stay tuned for more updates.
