We’ve been looking forward to the incredible debut of the Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel on June 21st in Disneyland Paris!

Along with exclusive 350 pieces of artwork and 471 rooms, the hotel will show off sleek contemporary features as well as Marvel inspired details. But, now we’ve got another sneak peek of what will be coming to the hotel!

Thanks to Disney, Marvel fans were able to get a few extra details about the unique and gorgeous chandelier that will be one of the centerpieces of the hotel. Sylvie Massara, the Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – Design & Show Quality, and Thomas Muller, the Scenographer, provided additional information about the décor in the resort coming to Disneyland Paris.

The Manhattan Restaurant will combine both a high-end New York dining experience along with contemporary and Marvel art. The designers stated that the chandelier is meant to add that incredible “wow” factor with an inverted-pyramid shape and references to both Asgard and Manhattan skyscrapers. the lighting in the restaurant allows the chandelier to shine brightly without taking away from the other design elements of the dining location.

Massara and Muller both stated that they needed to pair with a vendor who understood the intricate metal and glass work necessary to create the chandelier. Disney ended up partnering with Lasvit, a vendor based in Prague, Czech Republic. Each part of the chandelier was glass-blown in champagne and amber Bohemian crystal glass. The crystals are silver-plated on the inside with pure silver, along with various shapes and sizes to mimic New York’s buildings.

There are more than 225 glass pieces in the four-meter tall chandelier, and the reinforcement includes a metallic structure and metallic color board on the concrete slab to make sure it blends with the atmosphere.
