Resort Construction Update: Hippy Dippy Pool Still Closed, and Broadway Buildings Working Towards Opening Night!

We’re swinging over to some of the Value Resorts in Disney World to check out the progress on some of those slow season construction projects.

Pop Century Resort

We spotted some updates over at Pop Century Resort and at All-Star Music Resort today, so we’re showing you all of the progress being made at these two resorts. Check it out!

Work continues on the awning extension to the Pop Century lobby building. We’re thinking this will be a spot to help streamline the check-in process by making arrivals a little easier.

And of course, there are no groovy times going on over at Hippy Dippy pool as it remains drained for a resurfacing.

They’ve got lots of supplies out to help with the construction progress! We expect that the pool will return to operation sometime before the warmer and busier season.

All-Star Music Resort

Over at All-Star Music, the check-in desk is getting some updates as part of it is hidden behind some bright red construction barriers and black scrim. Hey, at least the barriers match the wall design!

And Broadway Buildings 7 and 8 remain closed and blocked off as workers continue with updates and refurbishments.

It looks like most of the doors are off today and many of the windows have certain parts taped or blocked off. We’ll be interested to see what the finished product entails on “opening night!”

And there you have it! That’s all of the construction updates we spotted at the value resorts today.
