It’s time for our vegan and vegetarian friends (and allies!) to feel the Disney dining love! Disney Parks Blog this morning announced two major updates to its menus, and it’s all about that plant-based life!

First up: a menu change that will take place throughout Walt Disney World beginning next week! A green leaf logo (seen in the image above) will be added to every quick service menu (October 1) and table service menu (October 3) to identify plant-based dishes safe for vegans and vegetarians! (Disneyland folks, worry not! You’ll get the logo starting in Spring 2020!)

In addition to the leaf logo, Disney World is adding tons of plant-based dishes to its menus, bringing the offerings up over 400 property-wide! These include some current offerings and some brand new additions.

We’ve already enjoyed the Felucian Garden Spread at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo in Galaxy’s Edge and the Spicy Chili Crispy Tofu Bowl at Satu’li Canteen, and Disney is adding the Shiriki Noodle Salad at Skipper Canteen and a Cashew Cheesecake at California Grill.

These are just a few of the hundreds of items being added or continually offered at Walt Disney World. And don’t forget: Magic Kingdom has also been providing guests with a Plant-Based Cuisine Guide in the Park, and Epcot’s Festivals have recently included one fully plant-based food booth for the past few seasons! Something I don’t see being reported is if the plant based desserts are using alternative sweeteners like monk fruit, etc. Since regular sugar is not vegan.
