Editor’s Note: This post was updated to include additional details on the restaurant design.
Toy Story Land opened last summer with one counter-service location, Woody’s Lunch Box. That’s about to change!
We’ve just learned Toy Story Land will be welcoming a new table-service restaurant to Andy’s backyard.
The new restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, will continue with the theme of guests being shrunk to the size of a toy, just as the rest of Toy Story Land. From the concept art, it appears that Andy’s toys will play an important role in the restaurant’s theming.
Guests to the new location will find it to be like a new play area — and true to Andy’s avid imagination, this time he’s set up a rodeo. The area will be made to resemble three cardboard boxes cut and taped together, and will be filled with a mish-mash of Andy’s favorite toys, games, and play sets. Some pieces are western-themed, like the toy version of Jessie, and others are not — like the Trixie pull-toy and Bo Peep and her sheep.
An opening time frame was not announced for the new location. We will be sure to keep you posted on the progress and any new announcements.
