Things are changing lately in Magic Kingdom! Several big attractions are getting a bit of a makeover, and even Cinderella Castle is going back to her roots.

If you’re headed to the park soon, you should know that one of Disney’s hotel perks has changed! While it might not change your rope drop plan, don’t let this switch throw you off.
Early Entry has changed in Magic Kingdom! If you aren’t familiar with Early Entry, this is when Disney World hotel guests get an extra 30 minutes in the park before it officially opens to the public. This can be a huge advantage when it comes to saving time in long lines and avoiding crowds later in the day.

In Magic Kingdom, they have removed Mickey’s PhilharMagic from the early entry offerings list. This 3D show is one we love, but it wasn’t a popular use of time during those extra 30 minutes. You can see what the park’s offering list used to be before the change here.

Luckily for us, this isn’t a huge loss from Early Entry. If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon and you’re a Disney resort guest, you can still check out the following;
-
- “it’s a small world”
- Astro Orbiter
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Mad Tea Party
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Space Mountain
- The Barnstormer
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Disney hasn’t confirmed if this change is permanent or temporary, so you may once again see this attraction open in the early mornings. This 3D show features Donald Duck as he accidentally travels through stories like Coco, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and more. It’s our favorite way to escape the heat and have a good giggle with our friends and family.

While it is a loss to not have this attraction on the Early Entry list, it’s nice to know it will be available throughout the day once the park formally opens. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more Early Entry news, Disney changes, and more!
14 Rides You Should Rope Drop in Magic Kingdom
Tell us which ride you like to go to during Early Entry in the comments!

This is a guest-friendly move … we recently did this for early entry and we’re in the first showing … but, they waited more then 20 minutes before opening the doors to the theater seating. We felt it wasted our early advantage, so I expect this to be a good love for guest satisfaction
TRON for the win.
