A Magic Kingdom Restaurant Is CHANGING in a BIG Way in May

If you’re heading to Disney World this summer, your kids are in for a lot of fun!

Cool Kids’ Summer is returning to the parks, this time with new offerings! It takes place May 26th through September 8th, 2026, and one of the new additions for this year includes a change to a Magic Kingdom restaurant.

One of the offerings previously announced for Cool Kids’ Summer is Jessie’s Roundup, a fun craft and dance party with Jessie, Woody, and other pals inside Diamond Horseshoe. When it was announced, it was unclear if the restaurant would continue to operate while this party happened, but now we’ve got more details.

The Diamond Horseshoe page on the Disney World website has been updated with the following message: “Beginning May 16, 2026, The Diamond Horseshoe will temporarily end table-service dining in preparation for Jessie’s Roundup during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. Dining service is expected to resume fall 2026.”

Currently, Diamond Horseshoe is a table service spot that offers virtually the same menu as its next-door neighbor, Liberty Tree Tavern. Though the restaurant is home to a stage, it hasn’t offered any form of entertainment in several years. We’re excited to see it get used for something new and different!

If you’re visiting this summer, Jessie’s Roundup isn’t the only special option to check out! Bluey will be coming to Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom, and GoofyCore will return to CommuniCore Hall in EPCOT. Also, a new show called Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will open in Hollywood Studios.
