REVIEW: Starbucks Just Converted Us Into Matcha Fans with 2 NEW Drinks

Starbucks just released two new matcha lattes, so we had to try them! These two new matchas are on the permanent menu, so you can get them year-round!

The Iced Double Berry Matcha and the Iced Banana Bread Matcha were both $6.75. We got them at Main Street Bakery because Starbucks just tastes better at Disney!

The first drink we tried was the Iced Double Berry Matcha for $6.75. It’s a matcha latte with strawberry puree and a raspberry-flavored cold foam.

We loved this drink! The berry flavor was very prominent and perfectly complemented the strong matcha taste. The texture was light, soft, and creamy. We’d recommend this for a hot spring day since it was very refreshing!

The next drink we tried was the Iced Banana Bread Matcha for $6.75. It’s a matcha latte with brown sugar syrup that’s layered with velvety banana cold foam and a crunchy caramel-sugar topping.

We loved the banana cold foam on this one – it’s made with real banana powder, and you can taste it! While this drink tasted great, it was too layered for us. It was hard to get a perfectly balanced sip of both matcha and banana, and mixing it ruins the foaminess of the cold foam.

If you feel the same way, next time we’re getting a Starbucks run, we’re asking for this drink upside down. This means they’ll place the cold foam at the bottom of the cup and pour the matcha on top of it. It mixes in with the drink without sacrificing the thickness of the cold foam.
