NEWS: One of Our FAVORITE Snacks Is MISSING from This Hollywood Studios Restaurant

Disney World is changing so much lately, it has us wondering if we’re strong enough to handle it all! (This is a joke, we know we’re tough).

Hollywood Studios is moving the Muppets to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Mike and Sulley are building Monstropilous, and the Walt Disney Studios is in development. We’ve been pretty excited about some of the changes and apprehensive about others, but this NEW Hollywood Studios change has us wondering when will enough be enough?

Over at Backlot Express, we noticed something important missing from this quick service’s menu. The classic items like cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and bowls are still there, but our favorite side of cheese sauce is GONE!

Plastic Cheese!

Yes, this is actually Disney newsworthy because we love this side, which has famously been dubbed “plastic cheese” by our friends over at the DisneyFoodBlog. This side was $1, and it made our chicken tenders, fries, and more so much better.

What do you mean it’s gone?

This sauce became a staple over at Casey’s Corner thanks to their corn dog nuggets, but we enjoy it at every single location. We aren’t joking when we say this side item made Backlot one of our must-stops in Hollywood Studios, so we are reeling from this loss. We even stopped by to talk with Cast Members to ask about the cheese, and they assured us it’s gone from Backlot. Luckily, it’s not gone from Hollywood Studios altogether!

We need the sauce!

A side of cheese sauce can still be found at Dockside Diner and Woody’s Lunch Box for $1. We will take what we can get, but we won’t be happy about this loss. Backlot is still a great option when dining in Hollywood Studios, especially if you’re with a big group or you have some picky eaters with you.

Burger and Fries from Backlot Express

This quick service is also home to the famous Wookie Cookie, so we won’t write it off entirely. We will be enjoying our cheese sauce at other locations, we guess (unless Disney takes pity on us!), so be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney restaurant updates, menu changes, reviews, and more.
