In One Week, This Disney World Land Permanently Closes

Dinosaur lovers, we have some bad news. The DINOSAUR ride and what’s left of DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom will close permanently next week on February 2nd!

DINOSAUR

That means Sunday, February 1st is your last day to ride DINOSAUR, eat at Restaurantosauras, and meet characters in their dinosaur outfits. Here’s everything you need to know as we say goodbye to DinoLand!

DINOSAUR is a thrilling dark ride where you’re chased by all kinds of dinosaurs. The attraction will live on through the new Indiana Jones ride, which is expected to use the same ride system and building.

Restaurantosaurus is a quick-service restaurant that serves burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, and salads. It’s decorated with dinosaur fossils and memorobilia. There’s also a secret bar in the back! The Restaurantosaurus Lounge serves fun dinosaur inspired drinks. We love the Carnotaurus Meteoritis, a lemon and strawberry bourbon cocktail.

This is also your last week to meet characters in their DinoLand exclusive outfits! Donald and Daisy Duck wear exploring gear to dig up fossils, while Chip and Dale have the cutest dinosaur onesies! They typically meet from 9 AM to 5 PM, but we recommend checking your My Disney Experience app for the most updated information.

DinoLand U.S.A. is closing permanently to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, Animal Kingdom’s newest land. It’s themed after Central and South America and will feature films such as Indiana Jones and Encanto.

What was previously DinoLand’s The Boneyard playground is already being transformed into a new Encanto ride. The attraction will take you into the Madrigal’s home during the part of the film where Antonio accidentally turns the house into a jungle. It’ll expand on the movie plot and bring our favorite Disney family to life.

Pueblo Esperanza is expected to open in 2027, and here at AllEars, we’re counting down the days till we get an official opening date. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Animal Kingdom updates!
