REVIEW: We've Got Good News and Bad News About This New Disney World Snack

When it comes to food, Disney’s Animal Kingdom may be our favorite of Disney World’s four theme parks to eat in. You’ve got so many unique options like Tiffins and Satu’li Canteen, but you’ve also just got some great snacks.

Well, we just recently discovered a new snack at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes, so we headed over to the quick service restaurant to check it out.

You can now get Korean Barbecue Rib Tips at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes for $17.99. Rib tips are the meaty chunks trimmed off from spare ribs, and if cooked correctly, they can be SO tender, juicy, and flavorful with a chewy texture thanks to the cartilage in them. The ones at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes are true to form, and they’re a lot more juicy and tender than the ribs at Flame Tree Barbecue, which can be hit or miss. All you need to eat these is a fork. Now, we know this cartilage-meets-fatty texture won’t please everyone, because they’re also a bit fatty, so we’ll warn you about that now.

These rib tips also have a wonderful flavor. Now they don’t taste like they’ve been marinated in the barbecue sauce, but were tossed in it after they were cooked. This works because it gives them that bit of spicy kick that you feel on your lips. Any more spice, and these might be a little TOO spicy.

We will warn you, though, that you get a good portion size for the price, and they come with fries, so you might want to bring a friend along to share them. The fries are a bit thicker than the ones at Mr. Kamal’s, and we would have loved for those to have more seasoning to go with the rib tips, but overall, everything was tasty.
