REMINDER: An Entire Land Is Closing Next Year in Disney World

This is your LAST year to visit one of the quirkiest parts of Disney World.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

DinoLand, U.S.A. is officially closing in Animal Kingdom in early 2026, and that means we’re saying goodbye to so many things we loved about that land. We’re excited for what’s to come, but if you’re visiting before the closure, you’ll want to get HUSTLING on doing everything one last time before its gone.

The land is closing entirely on February 2nd, which means your last day to check out all the remaining offerings is February 1st. Starting with the obvious one – we’ll be sadly saying goodbye to DINOSAUR! This ride will be replaced with an Indiana Jones attraction, but those giant animatronic Carnotauruses and Iguanadons will forever live in our memories.

DINOSAUR

It’s likely that the wait time for this thrill ride will increase as we near its closure date, so be prepared to wait in line a bit. It’s also probably going to be an in-demand choice for a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection. Of course, we’ll be there on the last day of operation for DINOSAUR to report on any farewell celebrations.

Who wants to ride with us?

Another big thing that will close with DinoLand? Restaurantosaurus! This quick service spot has been the go-to place in Animal Kingdom for your “basic” theme park fare like burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, and the like. With its closure, many menu items will be moving over to Harambe Market in Africa.

But what we might miss about Restaurantosaurus more than the food is the theming! Where else can you dine inside an Airstream? Or what other restaurant has folding chairs stationed on the roof? This is one of the spots where we really feel the charm of DinoLand the most.

Most of the other attractions have already closed in DinoLand, U.S.A., but the other remaining offerings that will shut down with the land are the specific character meet-and-greets with Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale, as well as The Dino Institute gift shop. We’ll be particularly sad to say goodbye to Chip and Dale in their adorable dino costumes!

When large closures like this happen, we often see characters get moved to other parts of the park. Pluto’s meet and greet got moved over to The Oasis earlier this year, so we’ll be on the lookout for the other characters to pop up around the park.

Donald Duck

We’ll be mourning DinoLand for a while, but we’re definitely excited to see what the Tropical Americas land has to offer! With a new Encanto attraction, new shopping and dining, and an entire new theme, we have confidence that the Imagineers will do a stunning job. We’ll just have to wait a little while for everything to open…and we’ll be counting down the days!
