I love many things about Disney World, but the rides have always been at the very top of my list!

Since I first started going to Disney more frequently a few years ago, the rides have always been at the top of my to-do list every trip. I’m VERY guilty of accidentally forgetting to eat because I’m too excited to get on the next ride (DON’T do this, I’ve learned my lesson), and since I don’t struggle with motion sickness, there are very few rides I don’t like. I’ll admit though that this Hollywood Studios ride was NOT my favorite for the longest time, but something has changed!
Hollywood Studios is my favorite park (but Magic Kingdom isn’t far behind!) because of its theming. While I know it’s not as heavily themed to the art of filmmaking as it used to be, I still love that there are easter eggs all over that talk about the former attractions and/or are nods to Disney films.

When it comes to the rides in the park, I’m a sucker for Rise of the Resistance and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway especially, as well as popping into Walt Disney Presents to be inspired by One Man’s Dream. However, I have to admit that for the longest time, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was NOT on my top list of attractions, and I’d skip it most times.

It’s not because I don’t like roller coasters or loops — I love both, actually! It was because no matter how I held my head, it would bang around everywhere and leave me with a headache for the next few hours. Maybe it’s because my neck strength is close to zero, but it didn’t matter what I did, my head would hit the sides of the headrest and that headache would ALWAYS come with a vengeance after the ride was over.

But when Sage and I filmed an Everything in Disney World video a few months ago and it was on the list to get the ride photo from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, I wasn’t about to say no — especially when I realized that I hadn’t ridden it since it’s most recent refurbishment and I wondered if it had really changed anything.

To my surprise, I left the ride without any trace of a headache for the first time in FOREVER, and I felt it was overall much smoother than it previously had been. In fact, as much as I loved Expedition Everest, I feel THAT coaster may be one of the roughest in the resort now (behind Space Mountain, of course, that one always hurts)

I know it may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m personally looking forward to the Muppets retheme of this coaster! I’ll miss Aerosmith, sure, but if I had to choose, I’ll choose Muppets over them any day. Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney World news!
