REVIEW: This NEW Disney World Snack LIED to Us...But We Forgive It

Fourth of July weekend is almost here, and that means that there are NEW treats in Disney World to try!

We’re heading around Disney World trying all these new, exciting snacks, so you know what’s worth the cost and what you’ll maybe want to skip. If you’re looking for a relatively simple snack, there are TWO new ones in Disney World you may want to check out, but we’ll warn you — one of them is pretty misleading.

Over at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom, you’ll find the Red, White, and Blue Waffle for $8.99! This is a Waffle topped with Mixed Berries, Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, and Festive Sprinkles.

This is the classic waffle we love so much here. It’s crispy and soft, but not all that sweet, which is perfect when paired with the sweetness of the fruit, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream. It does melt fast in the sun, though, so be prepared to get a little messy!

Then we headed over to Disney Springs to visit Amorette’s Patisserie and try the Patriotic Cake Bar for $8. This is Vanilla Chiffon combined with Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava Juice.

We’ll admit it — we didn’t taste a lick of anything other than vanilla in this. It was moist and full of vanilla flavor, but we don’t think it’s anything special. Especially at that price point, we think there are better treats out there to enjoy. It was a little disappointing because POG is such a beloved flavor!
