Food festivals are a huge thing in Disney World. EPCOT alone hosts four festivals throughout the year, including the upcoming EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

Of course, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin also hosts its Food and Wine Classic every year, but there’s one food festival in Disney World that doesn’t require a ticket to get in — and it’s happening right now in Disney Springs. So join us as we watch some culinary demonstrations and try some new food at this year’s Flavors of Florida.
Flavors of Florida takes place from June 27th to August 10th, 2025. During the event, Disney Springs restaurants and bars create unique offerings to celebrate the state of Florida. We previously got a sneak peek at this year’s festival, but now that it’s officially kicked off, we’re checking it out.

The fun part about the festival is that it also includes culinary demonstrations, all thanks to Kroger Delivery. We attended a culinary demonstration by the House of Blues.

We got to watch chefs create this year’s special Flavors of Florida menu item at the House of Blues, Florida Shrimp Etouffee — A hearty Cajun dish with shrimp sourced from the Florida Gulf in a rich, thickened sauce, served over rice.

The best part of the demonstration is that we got to try the dish when it was done. We were pretty impressed with what we got. Although our reporter isn’t typically a big fan of shrimp, we found these plump and buttery.

The jasmine rice was well-cooked with a nice bite. The sauce has Cajun spices, but it’s a low heat, so it won’t set your mouth on fire. There’s also some Worcestershire sauce that adds to the flavors, which all work well together. Plus, there were green onions sautéed into the dish that just added something extra.

If you want to try this, you can get it on the menu right now at House of Blues throughout Flavors of Florida.
A huge thanks to Kroger Delivery for hosting the culinary demonstration. If you’re looking for an easy way to get groceries and essentials, did you know Kroger will deliver whatever you need? You’ll get fresh food (guaranteed) and reserve a time that’s good for you. Kroger also has refrigerated trucks to keep your food fresh. Plus you can use exlusive coupons when you choose delivery.
We’ll be trying even MORE food from the festival, so you’ll want to check back with AllEars again soon for more.
