REVIEW: This Treat Is NOT Served Daily in Disney World, but We Would Eat It Every Day if We Could

Disney World hotels are a great place to find some pretty unique and iconic snacks!

Port Orleans French Quarter

Don’t get us wrong; the parks are filled with great snacks too, but we feel a lot of the treats at the Disney hotels are underrated, or just not talked about enough. We’re aiming to change that, and while we LOVED this treat over at Port Orleans French Quarter, we have to warn you that it’s not always available. Let us explain.

Over at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, you’ll sometimes find the Creamy Praline treat available for $5.49. This is described as a fudge-like pecan-filled candy, and boy, are they right about it being FILLED with pecans!

Creamy Praline

Truly, every inch of this is packed with pecans, which we adored. It was sugary and sweet, just as you expect fudge to be, and it almost reminded us of a sugar-cookie-like flavor in the best way. The pecans added a great crunch and broke up the sweetness.

Tons of pecans!

However, as we said, these aren’t always available. As it turns out, they were discontinued over at French Quarter, but its sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside, still makes them! French Quarter gets its shipments from them, so there may be some days when there aren’t any available because French Quarter is waiting on a new shipment from Riverside. Sharing is caring, right?

Yum!

When we visited, we waited about 10-15 minutes for Cast Members to unbox the latest delivery, and then were able to get ours from the French Quarter! Thankfully, since the resorts are right next to each other, it doesn’t take too long to get another shipment over, but if you don’t want to run into that issue, you may want to head over to Port Orleans Riverside and grab it directly from the Riverside Mill Food Court.

This treat is SO fun and shareable — we highly recommend it if you’re looking for a sweet treat.
