July 4th is right around the corner, and if you’ve been in Disney World during any major holiday before, you know it can get pretty busy.

A good way to estimate the crowd level on or around the holiday is to take a look at Lightning Lane prices for that time. Since many people prefer to skip the lines on busy days and will pay to do so, it’s a great way to gauge how crowded you can expect the park to be. Plus, Disney uses a surge pricing system for its skip-the-line service, so the higher the price, the higher the crowds! Well, Lightning Lane availability in Disney World was just released for July 4th, so let’s take a look!
Skip-the-line access at Magic Kingdom is still fully available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass sitting at $35 per person, and Lightning Lane Single Pass will cost you $12 for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and $20 for TRON Lightcycle / Run. For comparison, a Lightning Lane Multi Pass is $27 on July 1st — an $8 price difference. The cheapest price we’ve seen for a Magic Kingdom Multi Pass was $25 — way back in January.

As for EPCOT, Multi Pass will cost your family $24 per person, and a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Cosmic Rewind will cost you $17. EPCOT’s lowest Multi Pass price so far in July is $18.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios often sees some high wait times due to its high number of thrill rides. If you want to skip the rides in this park on July 4th, you’ll be paying $32 per person for a Lightning Lane Multi Pass and $22 per person for a Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance.

Finally, Animal Kingdom is fully available as well — Lightning Lane Multi Pass will cost you $22 per person, while a Lightning Lane Single Pass reservation for Flight of Passage will cost $16. The prices are higher than the normal day rates we see (by about $4–$5).

The real test is looking at Lightning Lane Premier Pass, though, as we’ve often seen it sell out on holidays. However, currently, all four parks are still available for Premier Pass. Now, again, these were just released recently, so it’s possible we’ll still see them sell out. If you’re interested, you may want to act fast just to be safe!

If you’re heading into the parks for July 4th, expect crowds.
