Staying at Disney’s All-Star Resorts is great if you’re looking to save as much money on your trip as possible while still staying on property.

However, if you’re looking for great dining options where you’re staying, this likely isn’t the best spot, as there’s only one food court style location on property. But is it really as bad as everyone says? We headed over to the All Star Sports to give it a try and see if it really lived up to that reputation, or if it deserves more credit.
Background
End Zone Food Court is known for being pretty generic, but having a large enough menu of American classics to appease everyone in your party.

It’s not known for being anything super special, and has often been looked down on, as almost all the value resort food courts are. But does it really deserve such a “blech” reputation?
Atmosphere
The one major plus of this area is how much indoor seating there is everywhere! It’s very rare you’ll struggle to find somewhere to sit, and there’s a variety of different seating types as well.

You’ve got full booths, half booth with chairs, full tables and chairs — you name it, this spot probably has it.

This is also a spot that mixes grab and go dining with ordering at one of the areas. This spot is known for being quick, as nothing is made to order, so if you’re starving and need something ASAP, this is a great fit.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Grilled Chicken Sandwich for $13.19. This is Marinated Grilled Chicken topped with Fresh Mozzarella, Basil Aïoli, Arugula, and Tomato on a Toasted Brioche Bun served with French Fries.

This sandwich doesn’t look very appetizing, but it tastes better than it looks! The chicken is a little dry, even with the dressing on top (which is a vinaigrette that works very well), but we did appreciate how the cheese really brought all the ingredients together. We think this is a decent dish that’s not too heavy and is on the healthier side, but it’s not super well executed.

We also grabbed the Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich for $11.49 with a Zesty Vegetable Slaw on a Toasted Brioche Bun served with French Fries.

There’s a LOT of meat on here, and it was unfortunately a bit dry, but the sauce certainly helped. The barbecue pork isn’t anything special — it was tender and had good barbecue flavor, but tasted like your average pulled pork, and we did appreciate the crunch the slaw gave the burger, but it often got masked by the amount of meat on here. The onion rings have a pretty thick batter (which we loved, but we know that’s not for everyone), and were nice and crispy! This is a pretty solid meal, but again, nothing to totally write home about.

The Street Corn Fries are $6.49 and are French Fries topped with Roasted Corn Relish, Cotija Cheese, and Cilantro-Lime Crema.

Overall, these are pretty tasty! The Cilantro-Lime Crema on top is delicious and really makes the fries. We wished there was a bit more corn and less bell peppers in the salsa, but it still tasted good. All the veggies were crunchy, and there’s a bit of tajin sprinkled in that is lovely. We loved the cheese as well, but wished there was a little more of it!

Then it was time for dessert! First on the list was the Surfing Stitch Cupcake for $6.29. This is a Yellow Cupcake filled with Raspberry Ganache and topped with Blue Raspberry Buttercream, Crisp Pearls, and Stitch.

Yeah, this cupcake wasn’t it. It was pretty cute, but that is about all it has going for it. The cake itself is very crumbly and pretty dry and while the fudgy filling isn’t bad, it got fairly thick so it’s just a log in the middle. The frosting is something, but not something good — it has the fake blue raspberry flavor to it and is very sweet, but doesn’t go very well with the fudgy filling at all. Kids might like it, but we think it’s one of the worse Disney cupcakes we’ve had.

Finally, we had the Glazed Doughnut Holes with Chocolate Sauce for $5.29. These are pretty average — they’re kept in a bakery case so they’re not super fresh, but not obviously stale either.

The chocolate sauce is very fudgy which we did really enjoy, and the packaging makes it very easy to take on the go and eat without much mess. If you’re craving donuts, they’ll do the job, but you won’t be dreaming of these for days to come.

Magic or Tragic?
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re into very basic food
- You need something that has a lot of options so everyone can find something
- You’re staying at All-Star Sports and just need something to eat
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re hoping for a really great Disney meal
- You want a more expansive or unique menu
- You’re not staying at All-Star Sports

Do we think this spot is awful? No, not by a longshot, but we do agree that it’s at the bottom of the list for us. Yes, you’ll find some decent options if you’re staying at the hotel already, but we definitely don’t think the restaurant is a reason to stay here or travel over from another hotel/park.

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!

Each of the All Stars has similar but not identical food. I suggest looking at the daily dinner specials for something more interesting and maybe walking to one of the other food courts for a change of scenery and dishes.
