This Is My FAVORITE Disney World News, and You Won't Convince Me Otherwise

Disney World just pulled off the most adorable meet-and-greet EVER to happen in its parks!

When a new animal (especially a baby) is announced at Disney World, it’s a HUGE deal to us Disney fans who visit regularly. But how do other Disney’s Animal Kingdom residents feel about baby Bakso’s debut at the park? We recently got a peek at just how this all unfolded and it went even more adorably than we could have imagined!

Just a few short weeks ago, the baby Sumatran Tiger, Bakso, was introduced with mom Sunni, to visitors walking along the Maharajah Jungle Trek, and Bakso seems to be a popular addition. Disney fans of all ages are coming to visit and creating some big crowds — people are willing to wait an hour or more for the chance to spot the rambunctious cub playing in the sun.

Now that we’ve had a few weeks to greet the new tiger cub in person, Disney thought it was time that some of the other characters in Animal Kingdom deserved their own opportunity to meet Bakso, too! And who better than a Wilderness Explorer to come say hello, right?!

Disney Parks took to social media to release a video of a few familiar friends from Disney Pixar’s UP!, including Carl, Russell, and the lovable talking dog, Dug. The trio stopped by to meet Animal Kingdom’s new little addition. During the clip, you can see the trio make their way along the jungle trek in Asia and around the viewing area for the tigers, where Wilderness Explorer guides greet them. The guides direct them to where they can spot Bakso…and the CUTEST meet-and-greet proceeds to unfold as they all swoon over the cub.

It really was a sight we didn’t know we needed until it existed, and it made for such a fun moment getting to see the characters just as excited about Bakso joining the trek as we have been! If you want to see the entire interaction unfold, check it out below.
