The Internet Is Losing It Over the New Tiger at Disney World

One tiger baby cub has caused quite an uproar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Now it’s no secret that when baby tiger Bakso made his debut on the Internet with Disney’s Tiger Tuesdays, he became a BIG HIT. Well, Bakso has gone from being an Internet sensation to a real life star because now that he’s joined the Maharajah Jungle Trek, he’s become such a hit with visitors that people are waiting in line HOURS to get a glimpse of him.

Forget Flight of Passage over in Pandora or Expedition Everest in Asia…nope, the longest line in Animal Kingdom right now is for the Maharajah Jungle Trek, which is probably one of the BEST hidden secrets in the park. We guess it’s not so hidden now, though, thanks to Bakso’s appearance there.

We made our way to Maharajah Jungle Trek yesterday and saw a TON of people waiting in line first thing that morning to walk through the area that lets you see the tigers of Animal Kingdom. But it’s Bakso that’s getting top billing. We’ve never seen a line like this for one of Animal Kingdom’s walkthrough attractions, but then again, Bakso has already become quite the superstar.

Interestingly enough, Cast Members warned those in line that there’s no guarantee they’d see the baby tiger. They were even telling some folks to come back between 1 and 3 PM and ask if he’s out.

We managed to get through the line, though, and we were rewarded with an appearance by the main event himself. There he is in all his adorable glory. Bakso, who was feeling quite playful, was there with his mother, Sohni.

Let’s just say his mom was really ready for some quiet time, but when you’ve got a toddler, it’s just not going to happen.

If you’d like to see Bakso yourself, Cast Members told us the best time to see Bakso when he’s out and awake is between park open and 10:30 AM. Otherwise, you might only see him napping (big cats sleep a lot) or not around.
