Welp, It's Official. This Is the Best Disney World News I've Seen All Day.

Move over, Bakso, there are NEW baby animals in town! Just kidding, please don’t go anywhere, Bakso, because WE LOVE YOU.

Okay, anyway… If you ask us, it’s always a great day when new baby animals make their debut at Disney World, whether it’s at Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge, or even EPCOT. But, some new faces have recently moved into Animal Kingdom and it’s time we introduced you to them!

It’s official! New Malayan great argus pheasant chicks have arrived in the aviary on the Maharajah Jungle Trek at Animal Kingdom! These adorable little birds will be playing follow-the-leader with their mother as they grow up, but soon after, they’ll be all grown up and independent.

Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment, shared an interesting fact about these pheasants and said, “The female pheasants are responsible for raising the young, and the chicks become independent quickly.”

Make sure you keep an eye out for them in the aviary the next time you’re on the Maharajah Jungle Trek!

In other recent baby animal news, Bakso, the tiger cub, has taken the internet and the park by storm. Bakso has gone from being an Internet sensation to a real-life star because now that he’s joined the Maharajah Jungle Trek, he’s become such a hit with visitors that people are waiting in line for HOURS to get a glimpse of him. We’ve recently seen those waits die down a bit, though!
