NEWS: ANOTHER Animal Kingdom Attraction Is Closing for Refurbishment in Disney World

Animal Kingdom certainly has a lot of closures going on right now, and now another one is being added to the list!

We’re already down two attractions at the moment, as TriceraTop Spin closed permanently in January with a big section of DinoLand U.S.A. Why the big closure? Well, Disney is preparing for a new “Tropical Americas” land in its park called Pueblo Esperanza. Oh, and Kali River Rapids is currently closed for its annual refurbishment during the winter months. Now, ANOTHER attraction closure is coming, but luckily, this one will only last for a few days!

The Disney World website has just confirmed that the popular meet-and-greet with Mickey and Minnie in their safari outfits, located at Adventures Outpost, will be closed from February 25th to 27th.

The closure is likely for a brief refurbishment in the area, which is normal from time to time. At this time, no announcement has been made as to whether you’ll still be able to meet Mickey and Minnie at a different area of the park while the closure is taking place, but we’ll keep our eyes out. If you’re set on meeting Mickey during this multi-day closure, we recommend grabbing a reservation at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. This is a character dining buffet experience where you can meet Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy, all dressed in their adorable safari outfits!

There are many other meet-and-greets to explore around the park during this time, such as Moana, Kevin from Up (who wanders around the park!), Pocahontas, Timon and Rafiki, and more.

Oh, and Mickey and Minnie also meet in Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, so you’ve got plenty of chances to catch up with your old pals.
