The time has come! We are about to sail away on the Disney Treasure for the first time!
We are SO excited to be back on board the Disney Treasure, and this time, we are actually leaving the port. That’s right, we are taking a cruise on the Disney Treasure, and we are taking you all with us!
We will be updating this post throughout our cruise, so make sure you check back for the most recent updates!
Monday, December 9th — Embarkation Day
Today is the day! We are setting sail on the Disney Treasure, and we can’t contain our excitement. The sun is shining, the ship is looking gorgeous, and Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen even made an appearance to welcome us on board!

We are getting a bit ahead of ourselves, though. Before we take you on board with us, let’s start from the beginning. We hopped on board a shuttle bus to take us to the port. The bus brought back memories, as we watched some classic Disney cartoons during our journey. Then, we got our first glimpse of the cruise ship at Port Canaveral!
She looks beautiful, and we can’t wait to get on board. We went through the embarkation process…
…and then walked through the Mickey doorway to make our way onto the ship.
As you board the ship, they call out your name to welcome you, and it really makes you feel like royalty! Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen were in the Grand Hall to welcome us on board, too.
Now that we are on board, we are ready to hit the ground running! As we said, we are doing EVERYTHING, starting right now. We started at the Haunted Mansion Parlor because how couldn’t we? We love the theming of this bar, and you will definitely find us here quite a bit so we can give you the best secrets and tips for low crowds.
We also stopped by the Skipper Society to try some drinks and snacks, and hunt for hidden details!
After we grabbed some snacks and drinks, we headed to check out our stateroom. We are staying in an Encanto-themed stateroom, and we can’t wait to show you all the details of the room!
Then we headed up to the top deck for the Sail Away Party as we said goodbye to Port Canaveral and headed for the open seas!
We also got to have our first rotational dining experience, which was at Worlds of Marvel — a dining spot we’ll be visiting twice during our cruise. The first experience is the same as the one aboard the Disney Wish — where Ant-Man and the Wasp are giving us a technology demonstration.
We certainly enjoyed our eats here. Here’s a peek at our dessert, an Orchard Peach Tart.
We also visited Sarabi, an entertainment venue that’s adults-only at night. It’s set up as the Sarabi Supper Club at night, and we were treated to some Indiana Jones comedy.
We have a feeling this show is going to be very popular.
Tuesday, December 10th — Day 2
We were up early to make our way to Castaway Cay on day two! Castaway Cay is one of Disney’s private islands, where you can indulge in some ocean-based activities or just sit on the beach to enjoy the view. Once you get off the ship, signs will tell you which way to go.
Let’s just say this is the perfect place to grab a beachy drink and enjoy the view.
We also got to check out the Oceaneer Club, which is the Kid’s Club onboard the ship. This one is devoted to princesses and superheroes, and Quincy made sure to get a quick photo with Belle.
We took a look at the pools, but mostly we just wanted to visit Cove Cafe, an adults-only lounge that offers specialty drinks and coffee.
For dinner, we headed to our second night of rotational dining at 1923! Named for the year that the Disney brothers founded their animation studio, 1923 is a monument to the company’s artistic achievements. According to Disney, the restaurant combines “classic Hollywood glamour with a dash of Disney whimsy, 1923 commemorates the year the legendary animation studio was founded in Southern California.

Everyone needs candy for breakfast, right? We stopped by Jumbeaux’s Sweets to check out what sorts of goodie were available there — and it was a lot!
We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek behind the scenes at Plaza de Coco! Plaza de Coco is one of the ship’s rotational dining experiences and is set in the “picturesque town of Santa Cecilia from the Pixar Animation Studios film, Coco. During two distinct evenings of theatrical entertainment, everyone in the familia will discover a menu that draws inspiration from Miguel’s colorful world.”
And, of course, we got to check out the FOOD at Plaza de Coco as well. Make sure you stay tuned for our full review!
Keep checking back as we will be updating this post as we experience the Disney Treasure! We will be trying out lots of food, exploring every inch of the ship, checking out the entertainment, and more.
