Things are POPPING!
Pop Century Resort is one of the most interesting hotels on Disney property. The value-tier hotel focusing on the second half of the 21st century has a fascinating history and a design aesthetic featuring non-Disney IP that the company would arguably never use again. In recent months, the hotel’s combined food court and shop, Everything Pop, has been undergoing renovations.
During our most recent visit to Pop Century Resort, we checked out the progress made on the renovated food court, and we were impressed!
The new design aesthetic of the food court has a POP of color, playing off the ’60s and ’70s styles prevalent around the resort. We’re so glad to see the construction walls are gone — it’s a lot easier to dine here now that the dining area is (mostly) open!
The theme and designs follow through to even the smallest details, including the ice…
… hot cocoa…
… and even silverware.
There’s even a Mickey Mouse illustration woven into the design.
The Mobile Order pickup is still in a temporary location…
… as work continues nearby. The good news is that it looks like construction is nearly done in the gift shop area, too.
The renovation of the Pop Century food court is nearing completion, and the new color scheme has added some life to the resort’s main common area! Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Disney’s hotels.
