Something STRANGE Is Going on at This Disney World Snack Spot

Disney World is full of iconic snacks, but some spots are hidden gems not enough people seem to know about.

Animal Kingdom is home to so many incredible under-the-radar snacks we can hardly keep track of them all (just kidding, we don’t forget when it comes to food!). But, we recently noticed something strange was going on at an underrated snack spot, so we did some investigating.

On a recent trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we strolled by Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery and noticed something strange — that it was closed! This quick-service window has typically been open for breakfast and lunch in the past, but despite it being just after 11AM when we strolled by, there was no one there.

We weren’t sure what was going on, but when we checked the My Disney Experience app, sure enough — the hours had been updated to show that Kusafiri was only open from 8AM to 11AM now.

Not only that, but only a breakfast menu is listed on the app and Disney World website for this spot now.

We stopped by the nearby Harambe Fruit Market to see if any Cast Members knew what was going on, and one informed us that Kusafiri had just recently stopped serving lunch.

This is a huge bummer to us, because we were especially fond of the flatbreads they served here! They made for a filling meal that wasn’t too greasy and they were delicious to boot. We’re still holding out hope we may see them again! For now, we’ll have to get our lunch elsewhere at Animal Kingdom.
