We finally got the hang of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, Disney’s paid skip-the-line services, and now we’ve got the luxury Premier Pass thrown into the mix. Luckily, we’re figuring it all out for you, so you know how to navigate these services should you choose to use them on your trip.

One aspect of these services that can be confusing is that they all use dynamic pricing, meaning that it changes based on what park you’re looking at AND how busy that park is expected to be that day. Busier park days will see higher pricing typically, and lower pricing on slower days. However, sometimes pricing surprises us, dropping lower or shooting higher than we expected it to, and we’ve just noticed that the Single Pass for one ride is dropping the lowest we’ve EVER seen it one day in November.
TRON Lightcycle / Run switched from requiring a Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane Single Pass to ride earlier this year to now having a regular standby wait, but you still need to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass if you’d like to skip the line. Typically, we’ve seen the cost for this one ride at $20+, but now, on November 21st, something has changed!

Disney releases pricing for its skip-the-line offerings weeks in advance so guests can plan ahead on what they’d like to purchase for their upcoming trip, even though hotel guests can only book 7 days ahead of their trip, and all other guests 3 days before. Looking at pricing for November, we realized that for the first time, the Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON Lightcycle / Run dropped below $20 — it’s $19 on November 21st!

One dollar may not seem like much of a difference, but many had previously been under the assumption that the lowest TRON would ever go is $20, but it seems that’s not the case. Additionally, the Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train that day is $11 — it’s not the first time we’ve seen the price that low, but it is the first time in a while!

This is a little different perspective. My son and his family will pay for a LL pass because their lives are hectic with their kids, and they both work hard for their money, but since time is money – and they make money – he would go for it – providing the ride is not down, and there are policies in place to return that money. My wife and I are older, been visiting Disney for well over 50 years, and have a different perspective. We no longer can tolerate the busiest days and cannot go at the pace we did when we were younger (rope drop to closing). We now opt for more leisurely trips and fewer expectations. We were sorely disappointed during COVID when some rides we were in line for just vanished (sorry – ride is down – for the entire day) and we were offered nothing-I am glad that is in the past. Last trip – no LL needed.
