Oogie Boogie Bash is one of THE most popular Disney events of the year, and if you’re planning on grabbing tickets for it this year, you need to be prepared.

This isn’t like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where ticket availability is fairly plentiful. No, Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go FAST, and you need to do all you can to beat the storm. Don’t worry; we’ve got some tips for you to make sure it all goes smoothly!
Buy Tickets the MOMENT You Can
Disney has announced that Oogie Boogie tickets will go on sale for the general public on June 26th, no earlier than 9 AM PT. However, our opinion is to set an alarm and start checking at 8:30 AM PT, even though it’s likely they’ll be released closer to 9 AM PT.

When we say these go fast, we MEAN it, so you need to be prepared to hop on the tickets as soon as you see them. Set all the alarms you need to, keep the browser open on your computer, and refresh frequently. (But once you’re in a virtual queue to buy tickets, do NOT refresh the window!)
Have Multiple Dates That Work For You
Before drop day even happens, you need to have not just ONE date in mind that works for you, but multiple dates that you could go to the party. It’s highly possible your top choice could sell out before you get to it, and if you don’t have backup plans in mind, those moments of indecision could cost you big time.

This is especially true if you’re looking at dates in October, as these often are the first to sell out. In fact, the less popular the dates (earlier in the year, on weekdays instead of weekends, etc.), the less likely they are to sell out first.
Have Your Card Number Ready
The time it takes for you to grab your card and plug in all the numbers could be the difference between getting the date you want and missing it. We recommend, at the very least, having your card right next to you or in your hand when you go to buy them.

However, it may be even better if you have your card information memorized, so you can quickly put it in from memory, and boom, you’ve got them! Even better, if you’re comfortable with it, allow your laptop or phone to securely store your card information, and then let it autofill the details as you check out.
Buy Them Early
While tickets for the general public go on sale on June 26th, you can grab them 1–2 days earlier if you’re a Magic Key holder with Disneyland (the annual passholder system)!

Inspire Key Holders (the highest tier) can buy their tickets as early as June 24th, while the three other tiers can purchase them a day earlier than the general public on June 25th. It can make a WORLD of a difference, especially if you’ve got your eye on the more popular dates, such as those closer to Halloween.
Use The Power of Friendship!
It’s also a great idea to have more than one person attempting to get tickets at the same time! Sometimes one person’s internet connection is better than the other’s, or their luck is just greater, and they’re able to get in faster.

We recommend that each person attempting to purchase tickets is ready and willing to buy tickets for the entire group, not just for themselves, and have all other party members ready to pay them the money for their ticket immediately after.
Prepare For Tech Issues
There will be HUNDREDS of people attempting to get tickets for these dates when they drop, and that means technical issues are very likely to happen. Be prepared for them the best way you can be — having multiple people trying is a great way, but if you’re able to try on multiple devices, that can help as well.

You can also try other browsers (ie, using Safari instead of Chrome) or going on an Incognito tab, as sometimes these changes give you a better chance of getting through. It’s very hit or miss, and there isn’t an exact science to it, but if you’re running into trouble, it’s worth a try!

We’ll be here to keep you updated on the event, so stay tuned to AllEars!
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
