An EXCLUSIVE New Perk Was Just Announced for Disney World’s Most Expensive Hotels

Genie+ just changed at Disney World over the summer.

Quincy celebrating Lightning Lane Multi Pass!

Genie+, Disney’s pay-to-skip-the-line service, transitioned into Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This new service mimics its predecessor, FastPass+, in certain ways, as rides are now broken into different tiers, and you are able to book your Lightning Lane selections in advance. Individual Lightning Lane also changed and became Lightning Lane Single Pass. We finally got used to this change, and Disney will soon roll out a different option for those wanting to skip the line.

Disney announced that starting on October 30th, 2024, they will pilot a new service called Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This pass will only be available in limited quantities for guests of Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels.

While this is a pay-to-skip-the-line service, it will work much differently than Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass.

The most significant difference is that you will gain entry to every single Lightning Lane attraction in one park, including Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions, for one fee. You will NOT need to make Lightning Lane selections in advance and will be able to walk up to any Lightning Lane in your selected park at any time and gain entry. It is important to note that this is not an unlimited pass, and attractions can only be ridden one time. You are welcome to ride again using the standby line.

While this perk is only available for Deluxe Resort guests, like Multi and Single Pass, you can purchase Premier Pass seven days before arrival.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will also include digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos as well as Disney PhotoPass Lenses.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass costs much more than the average Lightning Lane Multi Pass. One park costs between $129 and $449 per person, plus tax. These prices are just for the initial launch, and the highest prices will be during peak travel periods.

As mentioned, this service will only be available to Deluxe Resort guests and other participating hotels. This will give another huge perk for those staying at a Deluxe Resorts.

Currently, Deluxe Resort guests are also the only ones who can participate in Extended Evening Hours, where on select nights each week, one park stays up two hours past its closing time. The parks tend to empty out, and wait times also tend to be low.

It will be interesting if Disney eventually makes this perk available for all hotel guests after initial testing or if it will continue to be offered only to Deluxe Resort guests.

We will wait and see how this new service affects current Lightning Lane wait times and how Premier Pass works in general when it rolls out on October 30th at Disney World. Make sure to continue to follow along with AllEars to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news.

  1. Having the “perk” to pay hundreds extra to jump in lightning lanes for rides that are often breaking down? You can keep your perk.
