WARNING: One Disney World Park Will Open LATE on November 3rd

Planning a Disney World trip isn’t for the faint of heart.

EPCOT

There’s just SO much you need to plan: Where will you stay? Which parks will you go to? And, when should you plan to visit each park?! It can be overwhelming, which is why we do our best to help you every step of the way. And, if you’re planning an upcoming trip to EPCOT we’ve got a word of warning for you!

We’ve got a word of warning if you’re heading to Disney World in early November. EPCOT will be opening late on November 3rd — but luckily, only by one hour. Still, this could impact your plans if you’re going to be in EPCOT on that date.

Instead of opening at 9AM like EPCOT typically has been lately, on Sunday, November 3rd, the park will open at 10AM instead. This is likely due to the fact that the Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon will be taking place at 5AM that morning, impacting EPCOT.

This is also a good reminder that the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is happening in a couple of weeks, from October 31st to November 3rd, which means plenty of crowds you might not normally expect to see. That, combined with the fact that Halloween is also taking place that weekend could make for quite a hectic Disney World trip.

If you were planning on being in Disney World during these dates but aren’t taking part in the races over the weekend — don’t worry! There are still plenty of ways to try and avoid those crowds and long lines.

Our top tips for avoiding long lines without spending any extra money are to rope drop the parks (get there right when — or before — they open), get in line during meal times or parades and fireworks, or wait until people start leaving for the night!

It’s festival time!

You can also take advantage of things like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours depending on what Disney hotel you’re staying at. These offerings allow hotel guests to get a little extra time in the parks before everyone else gets there.

And, you can always take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass! These are skip-the-line services that allow you to bypass the standby lines at popular Disney World rides. Disney recently switched over to this system instead of the previous Genie+. You can read all about the NEW Lightning Lanes here.
