The Random Friday in October When Magic Kingdom Is SOLD OUT

When it comes to park pass reservations, they’re mostly a thing of the past for Disney World visitors who have date-based tickets.

However, select visitors still need to make park pass reservations, including Disney World Annual Passholders (except on “Good to Go” days), and other visitors who do NOT have date-based tickets. Well, we keep an eye on park pass reservations to get an idea of how busy parks might be on any given day and it looks like one random day in October is ALL OUT of reservations for Magic Kingdom.

For some reason, October 11th is completely out of park pass reservations for Magic Kingdom. This applies to both resort guests and those with theme park tickets. The other three parks still have park pass reservations available.

Now, we don’t know of any special events happening on that day to make this a thing, but we DO know that October 11th as a date is important in one Disney movie: The Parent Trap. In that movie, the twins discover they have the same birthday: October 11th. Now we doubt that people are flocking to Magic Kingdom for that reason, but we’d like to think folks will think of the movie on that date.

All kidding aside, though, that is the Friday before Indigenous Peoples Day, which means it’s a holiday weekend, so it could be because people are getting an early jump on the long weekend.

Here’s the thing, too: Magic Kingdom will be closing at 6PM on October 11th because it’s one of the nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. So those who have reserved the park for that day will have to leave the park at 6PM unless they have a ticket to the sold out event.

So we’re not entirely sure why Magic Kingdom is so popular on that date, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more information, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
